28-го октября 2016 г., в 15:00, в Национальной картинной галерее Армении откроется юбилейная выставка, приуроченная к 100-летию художницы Арпеник Налбандян.
Выставка, посвященная 100-летию Арпеник Налбандян, охватывает художественные произведения различных творческих периодов: порядка 48 полотен из собрания и фонда Национальной галереи Армении и 17 картин из коллекции семьи художницы. Благодаря сотрудничеству Национальной галереи с семьей художницы, широкой общественности представлена экспозиция из 65 произведений А. Налбандян. По случаю юбилейной выставки также издан альбом, куда вошли произведения художницы. Арпеник Налбандян работала в различных жанрах живописи (портрет, пейзаж, натюрморт), однако портрет всегда занимал доминирующее место в ее искусстве. Художница создала около 300 полотен, которые хранятся в Национальной галерее, Музее истории Армении, в семейной коллекции и других частных собраниях.
Арпеник Налбандян родилась в 1916 году в Грузии, профессиональное образование получила в Тифлисской Академии художеств. В 1941 году, после брака с художником Эдуардом Исабекяном, А. Налбандян переезжает в Ереван и вовлекается в культурную жизнь страны. Арпеник Налбандян скончалась в 1964 году, в Ереване.
