Ծնվել է Թիֆլիսիում: Եղել է նկարիչ Էդուարդ Իսաբեկյանի կինը և գեղանկարիչ Դմիտրի Նալբանդյանի քույրը: 1941թ. ավարտել է Թիֆլիսի գեղարվեստի պետական ակադեմիան: Նույն թվականից բնակվել և ստեղծագործել է Երևանում: 1946թ-ից մինչ կյանքի վերջը դասավանդել է Երևանի գեղարվեստաթատերական ինստիտուտում, եղել է պրոֆեսոր: Ստեղծագործել է հաստոցային գեղանկարչության բնագավառում: Ստեղծել է դիմանկարներ` «Ինքնանկար» (1942թ.), «Աղջիկը» (1957թ.), «Մերի Քոչարի դիմանկարը» (1960թ.), «Օվսաննա մայրիկը» (1962թ.), «Հ.Հովհաննիսյան» (1963թ). և այլն, կենցաղ, կտավներ` «Մտորումների մեջ» (1939թ.), «Աղբյուրի մոտ» (1957թ.), «Ոսկեվազցի պառավը» (1958թ.), բնանկարներ` «Ախթալա» (1943թ.), «Աշնանային բնանկար» (1953թ.), «Խնձորեսկ» (1962թ.): Մասնակցել է հանրապետական և միջազգային ցուցահանդեսների: 1948թ. և 1952թ. ընտրվել է Քաղխորհրդի դեպուտատ: Նրա գեղանկարչական գործերը գտնվում են Հայաստանի ազգային պատկերասրահում, Վրաստանի ազգային պատկերասրահում, Գյումրիի պատկերասրահում, մասնավոր հավաքածուներում: 1956թ. պարգևատրվել է «Աշխատանքի առաջավոր» շքանշանով: 1961թ. արժանացել է Հայաստանի վաստակավոր նկարչի կոչման: Մահացել է Երևանում:
