Արփենիկ Նալբանդյանի 100-ամյակին նվիրված ցուցահանդեսն ընդգրկում է ստեղծագործական զանազան փուլերի գեղարվեստական երկեր` Հայաստանի ազգային պատկերասրահի մշտական ցուցադրության և ֆոնդային շուրջ 48 գեղանկարներ, ընտանիքի հավաքածուի 17 կտավ: Այս համագործակցության շնորհիվ Հայաստանի ազգային պատկերասրահում հայ արվեստասեր հանրությանը կներկայացվի Ա. Նալբանդյանի 65 աշխատանքները: Հոբելյանական ցուցահանդեսի առթիվ հրատարակվել է նաև գեղանկարչի ստեղծագործությունների պատկերագիրքը: Արփենիկ Նալբանդյանն աշխատել է տարբեր ժանրերում՝ դիմանկար, բնանակար, նատյուրմորտ, սակայն դիմանկարը նրա արվեստում մշտապես գերակշիռ տեղ է զբաղեցրել: Գեղանկարիչը վրձնել է շուրջ 300 աշխատանք, որոնք պահվում են Հայաստանի ազգային պատկերասրահի հավաքածուում, Հայաստանի պատմության թանգարանում, ընտանիքի և մասնավոր այլ հավաքածուներում:
Արփենիկ Նալբանդյանը ծնվել է 1916 թվականին, Վրաստանում, մասնագիտական կրթություն ստացել է Թիֆլիսի Գեղարվեստի ակադեմիայում: 1941 թվականին ամուսնանալով Էդուարդ Իսաբեկյանի հետ, Նալբանդյանը տեղափոխվել է Երևան և ներգրավվել երկրի մշակութային կյանքին: Արփենիկ Նալբանդյանը մահացել է 1964 թվականին, Երևանում:
