Ա.Նալբանդյանը երկար տարիներ մեծ նվիրվածությամբ ու հոգատարությամբ դասավանդում էր գեղարվեստա-թատերական ինստիտուտում, հաղորդելով ուսանողներին ազնիվ զգացմունքներ, ամուր կապելով նրանց խոր հույզեր ու խոհեր արտահայտող արվեստի աշխարհի հետ:
Ա.Նալբանդյանն իր ստեղծագործական ու մանկավարժական աշխատանքներին զուգահեռ տանում էր հասարակական մեծ աշխատանք: Նա բազմիցս ընտրվել է Երևանի քաղաքային սովետի դեպուտատ:
